39 ACU has served the Community for over 34 years. In that time we have trained thousands of young people in the Army Cadet Environment. If you are interested in joining and being a part of this great history, just read the recruitment section below.

RECRUITMENT
14th May 2023 - update
Recruit applications are now open for the 2023 Term 3 intake.
If you wish to join or are looking for information about cadets, please complete the recruit inquiry form to the right side of the screen to be contacted with details to access online information sessions in June, the last of which is scheduled to run on Tuesday the 27th of June for the Term 3 intake of 2023.
If you miss the last information session, you have until July 01st to contact us and finalise your application to start in Term 3.
Any enquiries after 01st July will be added to the interest list to start in Term 1, 2024, with information sessions scheduled in Jan/Feb.

RETURNING UNIFORM & EQUIPMENT
For those who have left cadets already or intend on leaving cadets, you are required to return all items issued to you (uniform & equipment) during the course of your involvement with the Unit.
Please note that the inappropriate use of Defence issued equipment especially the ID card may constitute a criminal offence.
It is imperative that these items are returned and removed from your permanent record.
Due to current security restrictions at Simpson Barracks, issued items need to be returned to the unit on Thursday night by arrangement by contacting the unit at 39acu@armycadets.gov.au or on 0484 510 941.
